about us
Our Organisation was founded in 2004 at the initiative of some good-hearted people: Jenny Rasche, Susanne Knappe , Thomas Richard from Germany and Eugenia Czenter from Cisnadie, Romania.
During several visits to Cisnadie, the three Germans witnessed the disastrous living conditions of some families. They started to take action and organised some humanitarian aid. But they soon began to understand that material support alone isn’t a solution for the long run, especially not for the children.
For this purpose we opened the “Day Center” in February 2004 in Cisnadie. It includes a soup kitchen as well as a daily after school for all major subjects to help the children stay on track and prevent them from dropping out at a young age as it usually was the case before. Additionally we often organise various events around public holidays as well as the annual Summer Camp “Bricks of Life”.
